VISITOR INFORMATION

ATV PARK

The Tama County OHV Park provides a riding area for ATV and off road vehicles along the Scenic Iowa River. Over 200 acres of riding area are located on Hwy 63 at the Iowa River Bridge South of Tama. The entrance to the trails and camping area are to the North and East of the Iowa River Bridge. The park includes  over 15 miles of trails and a motocross type race track. Club SPORT, with the Iowa DNR and the City of Tama, are currently working on camping facilities next to the riding trails. Currently a primitive camping area, the campground will have electric and water hookups available. Land for the project was donated by Tama Paperboard (Caraustar), The City of Tama and Manatts, Inc.

CLUB SPORT asks that you please follow the safety instructions and signs posted throughout the park.

We invite visitors to Tama-Toledo to visit the many local shops and restaurants which offer a variety of culturally diverse flavor.

Camping is available at the Outback Campground, located approximately 2 miles west of Tama. Follow 13th street west out of Tama to H Avenue. Turn North. Go approx. 2 miles to signs. Outback Campground

or Tama County Lake & Otter Creek Park. Located approximately 4 miles north and 5 miles east of Toledo, off of County Hwy E43.

Check out the ever expanding walking trail. Start/End behind the Tama Civic Center and to the North at Arrowhead Trailer courts. See Tama Toledo Walking Trail

John Ernest Vineyard & Winery is now open! Located 2 miles east of Tama on Highway 30, John Ernest Vineyard & Winery offers wine tasting, a gift shop, live entertainment, nd a banquet facility available for rent. Hours of operation are Tuesday thru Thurs. 2-6 p.m. and Fri-Sunday 11-6. 641-484-8048. Link to Winery

Butter Cow
The Butter Cow Lady, Norma "Duffy" Lyon has designed a sculpture which sits on the NW corner of the Hwy 63/30 intersection. Be sure to stop by for a picture.
